When Peter stood on Pentecost, he didn’t begin with gimmicks or games—he began with God’s Word. In Acts 2:14–21, Peter lifts his voice and explains the strange sights and sounds not with speculation, but with Scripture. The Church is born not in a vacuum, but in the fire of Spirit-filled, Scripture-saturated preaching. Drawing from Joel’s prophecy, Peter declares that what the people are witnessing is the dawn of the last days—the age of the Spirit, the age of gospel proclamation, the age of urgent repentance. In this first sermon of the New Covenant Church, we are reminded: when God builds His Church, He does so with truth proclaimed, not feelings entertained.
