When gospel preaching pierces the heart, true conversion follows. In Acts 2:37–41, the crowd doesn’t applaud Peter’s sermon—they’re cut to the heart. That’s what Spirit-empowered preaching does: it convicts, it confronts, and it calls for a response. Peter doesn’t soften the message; he calls them to repent, be baptized, and believe in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of sins. And on that day, 3,000 souls were added. This is not the result of entertainment, but of expository boldness. The Church is not just born in preaching—it grows by preaching that demands repentance and promises life in Christ.
